Progressive Cavity Pumps

Progressive Cavity Pumps (also known as Helical Rotor Pumps) are positive displace pumps that are typically used for pumping thick sludge and shear sensitive polymers. Flow is directly proportional to speed meaning they can be used to meter fluids.
They are also able to pump dirty and solids laden liquids with viscosities ranging from 1 cps (water like) up to 1,000,000cps.

  • Gentle and shear sensitive pumping action
  • Able to pump viscosities ranging from 1 – 1,000,000cps
  • Available in cast iron, stainless steel and duplex stainless steel
  • Wide variety of rubber types available including nitrile, high nitrile, natural rubber, EPDM and viton
  • Cardin Joint system used to remove the eccentric motion of the shaft. In essence it is an oversized universal joint of the type found in cars and trucks and is proven, compact and reliable and has a 24 month warranty.
  • Zero leakage at low torque between the stator and rotor. Roto is one of the surprisingly few PC pump manufacturers that still manufacture their own stators and the process is precise and carefully controlled right from the mixing of the rubber through to controlling the 3 dimensional shrinkage of the rubber as it cools from the mould. This is important as if this seal line is not there it results in increased wear and reduced pressure and flow.
  • Flows range from as low as 0.68l/h right up to 320m³/h and higher.
  • Pressures from 0 bar to 48 bar. Typical PC pumps will develop 6 bar or pressure per stage so a single stage pump will develop 6 bar and a 2 stage pump will develop 12 bar and so on.
  • Sewage sludge
  • Polymer dosing
  • Mine dewatering
  • Dairy effluent pumping
  • Chemical dosing
  • Waste oil pumping
  • Oil/water separator pumping
