Pump & Valve Specialties Ltd has successfully delivered a fully KCDC‑compliant wastewater pump station for Arvida’s Stage 2 retirement village development on Ngarara Road, Waikanae. From design through to installation and commissioning, every step was handled in‑house by our team — a true turnkey package engineered to a 100‑year design life.
Working within a live retirement village environment meant strict compliance requirements and seamless integration with KCDC’s SCADA and telemetry network. Our engineers designed and built the system from the ground up, ensuring durability, safety, and operational reliability. Key features included a Ø2500mm × 6452mm deep fibreglass wet well with integral valve chamber, four hours ADWF storage capacity, twin Flygt NP 3127 HT3 Adaptive pumps on SS316 guide rails, DN150 stainless steel discharge pipework, odour control via McBerns ZC300 filter, and a KCDC‑compliant VSD controller fully integrated with telemetry.
Commissioning was carried out with all stakeholders present, covering full functional testing of pumps, VSD, float levels, well washer cycling, solenoid valves, RPZ system, Magflow meter, and SCADA integration. A complete O&M manual was issued at handover, underscoring our commitment to quality and accountability. Every component was selected, built, and tested by our team — that’s the Pump & Valve difference.
