Arvida Stage 2 Wastewater Pump Station Waikanae 01

At Pump & Valve Specialties Ltd, we pride ourselves on delivering turnkey wastewater solutions that meet the highest standards of compliance, durability, and integration. Our team successfully completed the Arvida Stage 2 Wastewater Pump Station on Ngarara Road, Waikanae — a project designed, built, and commissioned entirely in‑house.

Meeting Community and Compliance Needs

Working within a live retirement village development meant navigating strict Kapiti Coast District Council (KCDC) standards, tight compliance requirements, and the need for seamless integration with existing SCADA and telemetry networks. Our engineers rose to the challenge, designing and delivering a system built to a 100‑year design life, ensuring long‑term reliability for the community.

Project Highlights

Wet Well
Ø2500mm ID × 6452mm deep fibreglass wet well with integral valve chamber.

Storage Capacity
Four hours ADWF capacity across wet well and horizontal fibreglass storage tank.

Pumping System
Twin Flygt NP 3127 HT3 Adaptive 489 submersible pumps (4.7 kW, 3‑phase), VSD‑controlled on SS316 guide rails. Rising main: 290m PE SDR11, 180mm OD.

Pipework & Valves
DN150 SS316 Sch.10 discharge pipework with check valves, gate valves, dismantling joints, DN250 knife gate inlet valve, ABB DN150 Magflow meter, and wye‑manifold to rising main.

Odour Control
McBerns ZC300 ground‑mounted filter with Ex‑rated fan, continuous operation.

Well Washer
KCDC brass RPZ in SS cabinet — dual solenoids, auto‑cycle after each pump‑out.

Controller
Designed, built, and installed in‑house, fully integrated with KCDC SCADA/telemetry.

Access Lids
KCDC standard aluminum checker plate with safety grilles, padlock pole secured.

Commissioning and Delivery

Commissioning was carried out as a complete turnkey exercise with all relevant parties present. Functional testing covered pumps, VSD, float levels, well washer cycling, solenoid valves, RPZ system, Magflow meter, and SCADA/telemetry integration. A full O&M Manual was issued at handover, underscoring our commitment to accountability and quality.

The Team Behind the Project
