Nikuni VDF (Vortex Dynamic Filter)

The Nikuni VDF is a media-free, high-efficiency coolant / fluid filtration system that uses centrifugal force (vortex dynamics) to remove sludge and particles without disposable filters or cartridges. It’s designed to reduce waste, reduce maintenance, and improve fluid cleanliness in industrial systems.

How it Works

Fluid flows in tangentially at the top of the separator (side port), creating a vortex along the inner wall of the cyclone-like separator. Centrifugal force pushes heavier sludge down towards a narrow base nozzle. Sludge is discharged into a sludge pod; fine sludge or particles that can’t descend are carried upward and exit with cleaned fluid.

  • High filtration precision — at 0.2 MPa (2 bar) supply pressure, can remove ~95% of particles ≥25 μm, ~90% for ≥10 μm.

  • Efficient sludge concentration — heavier particles swirl down the tapered body, collected in sludge pod for easier disposal.
