Auckland District Health Board have specific requirements and standardised materials and equipment preferences that are selected for reliability and resilience.
This project was for the Auckland City Hospital campus chilled water system, with the selected pumps each needing to deliver 29 l/s @ 880 kPa.
Pump and Valve were able to meet the design and duty requirements of the consulting engineers, by supplying three high quality Grundfos CRN95-5 multi-stage pump wet-ends in T316 stainless steel construction.
In our Auckland workshop, we fitted pumps these with 37kW close coupled electric motors which feature an insulated bearing on the non-drive end and shaft earthing ring with brushes.
This extra work on the motors was carried out to meet the project electrical requirements for variable speed drive applications.
These are significant pumps standing approximately 1.7mtrs tall and weighing 379kgs each!
